Toddler Learning Program
2 to 3 Years
Our Toddler environments for children aged 2–3 years are vibrant spaces where each child’s individuality and growing independence are both embraced and encouraged. Designed to support active learning and exploration, our environments inspire children to investigate, create and build meaningful relationships throughout their day.
The familiar presence of our Teachers provides children with a strong sense of safety while guiding learning through a balance of responsive care and intentional teaching.
Play, Wonder, and Purposeful Learning
Intentional teaching occurs through thoughtful interactions including modelling, open-ended questioning, shared thinking, problem-solving, and meaningful conversations that extend children’s ideas, language, and understanding. Alongside this, play-based learning empowers children to discover, imagine, experiment, and make sense of the world around them in ways that are engaging and meaningful to them.
Safe Spaces to Explore and Thrive
Throughout the day, toddlers are encouraged to explore their growing independence, test ideas and build confidence in a safe and supportive environment. Educators carefully scaffold learning opportunities that promote communication, emotional regulation, creativity, resilience, and social connection.
Daily experiences may include:
- Dramatic and imaginative play experiences
- Storytelling, music, singing, and language-rich interactions
- Creative arts, painting, sensory play, and messy play
- Early numeracy and literacy experiences woven naturally into play
- Group experiences that encourage turn-taking and collaboration
- Problem-solving, construction, and investigative play
- Outdoor exploration, nature play, climbing, and gross motor development
- Opportunities for self-help skills such as mealtimes, toileting, and routines
- Social experiences that support friendships, empathy, and emotional understanding
Spaces Designed to Inspire
Our spacious and resource-rich learning environments are intentionally designed to encourage exploration, independence, and engagement, while supporting children’s developing sense of identity and belonging.
Learning Grounded in Best Practice
Our learning programs are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V2.0), Australia’s national curriculum framework for early childhood education. This ensures our programs are consistent and responsive to each child’s individual stage of development.
