Stay & Play Sessions

Choosing the right early learning environment for your child is a meaningful decision; one built on trust, connection, and a feeling that your child truly belongs.

At Honour Early Learning, we know families want more than a brochure and a tour. You want to see, feel, and experience what your child’s day will look like. That’s why we offer Stay & Play sessions following our tours; a relaxed, complimentary opportunity for families to spend time in our Centre before making any decisions.

A Stay & Play is more than a visit. It’s a chance to slow down, connect with our educators, explore the learning environment – all at your own pace.

What is a Stay & Play session?

A Stay & Play session invites you and your child into our learning environments to experience a real day at Honour. It is a calm, child-led visit where your child can explore and begin forming connections with their environment and their key teachers and educators - with you right by their side.

Why families value Stay & Play

Families often tell us that Stay & Play sessions provide reassurance and clarity, and peace of mind – particularly for those families navigating their child’s first transition into care.

1

Builds trust

Trust is at the heart of every strong early learning experience. Stay & Play sessions allow children to become familiar with the environment and educators they may see each day, while families gain confidence in the care, routines, and relationships being built.

2

Supports confident transitions

Children who have experienced a Stay & Play often transition more smoothly into care. Familiar faces, spaces, and routines help support a sense of comfort and belonging from the very beginning.

3

Encourages genuine connection

At Honour, we value strong partnerships with families. Stay & Play sessions create the opportunity for meaningful, early connections; allowing relationships with educators to form naturally and collaboratively.

4

See our approach to learning in action

Honour’s learning programs are thoughtfully designed to reflect each child’s interests, strengths, and stage of development. Our environments support exploration through play-based, intentional experiences.

During your Stay & Play, you’ll see how learning unfolds organically; guided by educators who know when to support, when to observe, and when to let children lead.

5

No cost. No obligation.

Our Stay & Play sessions are offered at no cost, with no expectation to enrol. We believe families should feel empowered and informed when making decisions about
their child’s care – and that confidence comes from experience, not pressure.

Whether you choose to enrol immediately, return later, or simply take the experience with you, we’re here to support your journey.

What to expect on the day

When you arrive, you’ll be welcomed by a member of our team and guided to a learning space suited to your child’s age and stage. From there, you and your child are free to:

  • Engage in learning experiences aligned with your child’s interests
  • Explore indoor and outdoor learning environments
  • Observe daily routines such as group time, meals, or quiet moments
  • Speak with educators about programs, routines, and your child’s needs

Your child may choose to dive straight in or stay close to you. Both are perfectly okay. Our educators are skilled in supporting children to feel safe and comfortable in their own time.

There is no right or wrong way to participate. The goal is simply to experience what Honour feels like.
