Say Hello to Your Centre Manager, Miss Teighan
Honour Strathpine Centre Manager
With more than two decades in the early learning sector, Teighan holds a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and Care (ECEC) and has built extensive expertise in child development and early education. She started in the sector at 15 and advanced from Educator to Co-Director, gaining the leadership experience that led her to become Centre Manager of her own centre. Her upbringing in a large family fuelled her passion for nurturing young learners.
Teighan brings a deep understanding of how to create environments that support children’s growth, encouraging them to have a voice that build confidence from the start of life. She is passionate about educating the next generation and guiding children as they grow and explore the world around them. Teighan believes every child has unique strengths and potential and strives to create an environment where they feel supported, encouraged, and confident to learn.
Our Spaces
At Honour Early Learning, each space is thoughtfully designed to support children from 6 weeks to 5 years, nurturing growth, play, and discovery at every stage.
Nursery Environment
0-2 years
Our Nursery is a calm, warm, and inviting space where our nurturing team provides personalised care, taking time to understand each child’s unique needs, routines, and cues.
Designed to keep children happy, engaged, and learning throughout the day, the room offers a variety of appropriate age experiences that encourage exploration at each child’s own pace and according to their individual interests.
In the Nursery, our team supports every child’s development of self-identity and communication both verbal and non-verbal while fostering a strong sense of emotional and social wellbeing.
Toddler Environment
2-3 years
Our Toddler rooms are vibrant, nurturing spaces where each child’s individuality, curiosity, and energy are embraced and encouraged. The warm, familiar faces of our dedicated team guide children’s learning and development through a balance of intentional teaching and play-based learning.
Intentional teaching involves modelling, open-ended questioning, shared thinking, and problem-solving to extend each child’s understanding. Play-based learning allows children to discover, imagine, and create as they explore the world around them. Here, children are supported to test ideas, form friendships, and challenge their thinking in a safe and supportive environment.
Each day, toddlers engage in a variety of enriching experiences from dramatic play and storytelling to collaborative problem-solving and outdoor exploration in our spacious, resource-rich environments.
Our learning programs are guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V2.0) a national curriculum that ensures consistency and quality in early education across Australia.
Kindergarten Environment
3-5 years
We help set children up for a smooth transition to school and beyond.
Our School Readiness program is led by a university-qualified Teacher and supported by experienced Educators who nurture confident, capable, and curious learners. The program focuses on developing early literacy and numeracy skills while also supporting children’s social, emotional, and physical wellbeing.
Guided by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF V2.0), our curriculum ensures a consistent, high-quality approach to early education preparing your child for the classroom and life with confidence and enthusiasm.

Our environments are designed to spark imagination.
Our playgrounds are thoughtfully designed to spark imagination, promote physical development, and encourage meaningful outdoor exploration. Each centre features its own unique outdoor environment, carefully created to support children’s interests, development, and sense of adventure.
Designed to be age-appropriate and engaging, our playgrounds offer a balance of open space for running, climbing, and active gross motor play, alongside quiet areas for imaginative adventures and creative exploration. Whether it’s navigating obstacle courses, splashing in water play zones, caring for herb gardens, or inventing games in nature inspired cubby houses, children are free to learn, grow, and discover through play.
Our outdoor spaces are more than playgrounds — they are vibrant, living classrooms where children build confidence, resilience, and a lifelong love of the natural world.
Our educators have a commitment to excellence.
Our team is made up of passionate, dedicated educators who are committed to providing the highest standard of care and education for every child. Our educators either hold recognised Early Childhood Education qualifications or are studying towards them, and all participate in continuous professional development to keep in touch of best practice in early learning.
To ensure the safety and wellbeing of every child, all team members are trained in First Aid, Safe Sleep practices, and Fire Safety procedures, creating a nurturing, secure, and responsive environment where children can thrive.
Supporting our educators is a dedicated team of specialised support staff — including a qualified onsite nurse — who work closely with children, families, and educators to deliver holistic care. Whether assisting with health needs, developmental milestones, or emotional wellbeing, our support team provides expert guidance and an extra layer of reassurance for your family.
Our play-based curriculum supports children’s sense of belonging, being and becoming.
Our rich daily programs are filled with diverse, engaging learning opportunities both inside and outside the centre. Each day, children are invited to participate in activities such as art activities, gardening projects, sports programs, yoga sessions, and cultural celebrations.
We believe in the importance of listening to children’s voices and our programs are thoughtfully designed in response to their interests, ideas, and curiosity. This child led approach ensures that learning is meaningful, empowering, and deeply engaging for every child.
Regular excursions and centre incursions further enrich children’s experiences, connecting them with their community and broadening their understanding of the world. From nature walks and library visits to animal encounters and STEM workshops, our excursions are carefully chosen to spark wonder and extend learning beyond the centre walls.
Welcome to our Kindergarten room!
I`m Mrs Kshipra, the Early Childhood Teacher here at Honour Strathpine and I bring over 20 years of experience teaching in a variety of educational settings across different countries.
I am passionate about the early years because I believe they lay the foundation for a lifetime of learning. While supporting school readiness is an important part of my role, my greatest focus is nurturing children`s social and emotional development, helping them grow into confident, independent and resilient learners.
Our classroom celebrates cultural diversity through meaningful experiences that encourage curiosity, respect and inclusion. We also embrace safe, supervised risky play, with a permanent woodwork bench where children learn to use real tools safely while developing problem-solving skills, creativity, perseverance and practical life skills.
I look forward to partnering with our families to create a fun, inspiring and enriching Kindergarten journey where every child feels valued, capable, and excited to learn!

Recently, our Pre-Kindy children have been exploring emotions and learning about how feelings can affect them throughout the day.
The children enjoyed reading The Colour Monster, a wonderful story that helps young children identify and understand different emotions. Inspired by the book, the children created their own Colour Monster displays using a variety of resources found around the room, encouraging creativity and self-expression.
As they worked, the children shared their thoughts and experiences about different emotions. Some of their insightful comments included, "When I cry, I`m sad and blue" and "I`m always happy to see my Miss Jordan!" These conversations provided valuable opportunities for children to recognise and name their feelings while listening to and learning from the experiences of others.
Experiences such as these support children`s social and emotional development by helping them recognise, express, and understand their emotions in a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. We are so proud of the thoughtful discussions and creativity our Pre-Kindy children demonstrated throughout this learning experience. 💙💛❤️💚

This week, our children and educators proudly celebrated NAIDOC Week at Honour Early Learning.
NAIDOC Week provides an important opportunity for children to learn about and appreciate the rich cultures, histories, and achievements of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. We were fortunate to have one of our educators, a proud Kamilaraay woman, guide us in creating meaningful and authentic learning experiences throughout the week.
The children explored culture through mosaic creations, sensory play, painting, symbol-making, and storytelling. Together, we listened to Dreaming stories and encouraged the children to share their own interpretations through art and creative expression.
It was wonderful to see the children`s curiosity, creativity, and engagement as they learned about culture, connection to Country, and the importance of storytelling. Experiences such as these help foster respect, understanding, and appreciation for Australia`s First Nations peoples from an early age.
Thank you to our educators for creating such meaningful opportunities for learning and reflection. ❤️💛🖤

Building Strong Little Hands ✋✨
Fine motor development plays an important role in a child`s early learning journey, and our children have been busy exploring a range of engaging fine motor resources!
Activities such as threading, tweezing, manipulating small objects, puzzles, peg boards and construction materials help strengthen the small muscles in children`s hands, fingers and wrists. These skills are essential for everyday tasks such as holding a pencil, using scissors, buttoning clothing and self-help routines.
Developing strong fine motor skills from an early age helps prepare children for a successful transition to Prep, supporting their confidence and independence when it comes to writing, drawing and other classroom activities.
Learning through play is one of the best ways to build these important foundations, and our children are having so much fun while they learn!
