Early Years Learning Framework

Our programs are governed by the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Queensland Kindergarten Learning Guidelines (QKLG) and offer age-appropriate play-based learning.

This means that we hide the learning in the play (just like a parent might hide vegetables in a child’s dinner!). Children engage in what takes their interest and our Educators and Teachers are trained to use the child’s play to introduce learning outcomes.

Early Learning Programs

In addition to this, and to build readiness for school, Honour Early Learning centres offer children a weekly lesson on Early Literacy, Early Numeracy and Early STEM.

These programs are not designed to deliver content that children will discover at school, rather they introduce some of the concepts and language so that children can experiment and have fun with these subjects before school. Creating awareness and familiarity removes fear and promotes openness to learning which is critical for success at school and beyond.
